Block after block, the rise of outsourcing agencies seems to have been the very meat of the discussion among youngsters today. However, who would not be? In the Philippines’ case, when after most of our local employers can hardly pay a compensating salary after requiring individuals a higher educational attainment, by the time you get hired, you’re already in debt for all the processing fees it requires – It is just insane! There are just too many possible skilled and talented employees wasted by some most employers’ inefficiencies, packed with alibis and blaming everything to the lack of the government’s support.
Nevertheless, despite truth in it, people nowadays are not stupid enough not to see the revenues and expenses of a company and justify if the establishment is going down the drains or not.
Thank God for outsourcing companies sprouting like mushrooms nationwide. However, to some, the job seems stupendous, but these companies pay big – more than the minimum wage rate, which people practically need.
Moreover, people often misunderstood the fact that it does not mean that once you are in any way connected with an outsourcing company, that would mean that you are a callcenter agent – such notion often about hearing call center agents whining over their jobs and the routinary stories they have. Yes, we heard them. Nevertheless, what most people do not know is that, outsourcing companies are not merely all about agents doing either inbound or outbound calls. There are actually outsourcing companies who cater on the capability of Filipinos in the field of website programming and internet marketing assistance. These people are in-charge in website development to most busy website executives. From web developers, site administration, virtual assistants, link builders to content writers.
Web Developers mostly deal with fixing programs or non-working links in a certain website. They deal with programming more often than Site Administrators. Site Administrators on the other hand assists on checking on your web updates, changes and add-ons. Both can be a tedious job, but as the saying goes, “if the pay feeds your family, it’s better off than nothing.”
Completing the branch of a website owner’s staff are the Virtual Assistants. They act as the website owner’s secretary. Keeping them informed with their daily schedule. Compared to the two earlier mentioned job descriptions, a virtual assistant has a much mind-numbing juggling up to do since the job often involves product research and analysis, basic programming skills for setting up an internet marketing niche to even link building at some point. This may sound as horrifying as it seems, but this is one job where learning never ends as your pile of workload varies a day after another.
Content writers on the other hand are people who piles up tons of information regarding a certain niche for the benefit of internet users worldwide. While the link builders gets all of these information disseminated to categorical sites in order for people to have something to browse with whenever they go online.
Therefore, the next time you find a non-toxic person who is into outsourcing services, without anything to say about stupid callers who can’t figure out that a DVD-Rom is not a cup and saucer tray… these are people who work in a different area of the outsourcing or bpo industry that modifies lifestyle.
And with regards to our local companies’ case, concerning their manner of compensation among their employees for a job well done? Well, let us face it… employers will not put in jeopardy their piece of convenience in exchange of their employees’ engagement with their company… or let us make this one-dimensional for the rest to understand… They will not put on compromise their beef steak on mushroom sauce meal over a plate of sautéed pork with black beans. Deal with it.
